Dear Andrew,
Thank you for your recent letter. It was nice to hear from you.
It sounds like you are planning a wonderful celebration for your mother. I am sure you and your Dad will cook a delicious dinner for her. In Russia, Mother’s Day is celebrated in November. My mother loves sweets, so I usually buy her a box of chocolates. My Dad and I also take her to dinner at a café near our house. Other holidays we celebrate in Russia are New Year’s and Women’s Day on March 8th.
I’m sorry, but I have to stop now and help Mum cook dinner. Please write again soon.
Best wishes,
Galina
